First agreements signed
to organise future operation
and maintenance In 2020, the Société du Grand Paris/Île-de-
France Mobilités/RATP Infrastructures
tripartite interface agreement was signed,
specifying the distribution of roles and
responsibilities between these three
stakeholders and with future transport
operators.
Société du Grand Paris was also involved
in the consultation process launched by
Île-de-France Mobilités to select the first
transport operator for Lines 16 and 17, so
as to ensure consistency between the work
designed and built by Société du Grand
Paris and the operating and maintenance
objectives assigned to the transport operator
by Île-de-France Mobilités.
Preparation for operation
and maintenance In conjunction with Île-de-France Mobilités
and RATP Infrastructures, Société du
Grand Paris has established a framework
for the transfer of technical management
processes and future operation and
maintenance processes to transport
operators. The next step will be to involve
Île-de-France Mobilités and RATP
Infrastructures in the operations prior to
the transfer of technical management
through a programme of inspections, visits
and tests defined by Société du Grand Paris.
Île-de-France Mobilités and RATP
Infrastructures will also begin work on
incorporating the constraints transferred by
Société du Grand Paris into their maintenance
schedules and operating plans, during
tests on line extensions already in service.
Société du Grand Paris has also begun a
consultation process to appoint a “virtual
operator” programme management
assistant as part of an order grouping
with Île-de-France Mobilités. The decision
to appoint this “virtual operator” well in
advance of the first lines opening is intended
to ensure that all the technical responsibilities
are thoroughly prepared before the transport
operator is appointed. The virtual operator’s
role will be to represent the point of view of
the future transport system operator vis-à-vis
Société du Grand Paris and Île-de-France
Mobilités and to inform the choices made
prior to appointing the transport operators
in terms of operating and maintaining the
Grand Paris Express.
A 100% accessible metro:
an ambition becoming reality The twentieth workshop with associations
of people with disabilities was held on
15 October 2020 at the Fabrique du Métro.
This workshop focused on rolling stock
and ticket vending machines, and fifteen
or so attendees were able to see the 1:1 scale
models of an automatic ticket vending
machine and a travel card recharging point.
They were also able to board a full-scale
model of the train that will be used on
Lines 15, 16 and 17 of the Grand Paris Express.
