Your Fluidbook compliant with WCAG, EAA and RGAA

Your Fluidbook compliant with WCAG, EAA and RGAA

With the “Accessibility” option, make your publications accessible to everyone! Your document is read aloud, and navigation and interaction comply with the WCAG (Worldwide), EAA (Europe) and RGAA (France).

With Fluidbook, your publications provide equal access to information, regardless of disability or device used.

One version for everyone

One version for everyone

Accessibility means equal access to the same information and features.

With Fluidbook, you publish one fully accessible document, not a flipbook plus a separate “accessible PDF.” Keep content consistent for all users and avoid maintaining two versions.

Fast and cost effective production

Fast and cost effective production

Powered by our locally hosted AI engine, FluidSense, we quickly transform your PDF into a structured and screen-reader-friendly Fluidbook.

No extra effort is required from your team, we handle everything.

A tested and compliant solution

A tested and compliant solution

With the accessibility pack your Fluidbook follows recognised accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA, EN 301 549), with clearly documented exceptions where a criterion is not applicable (see the full listing here).
All accessibility features are tested with leading screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, Windows Narrator, TalkBack (Android) and VoiceOver (iPhone).

Why it matters

Why it matters

Accessibility means making online content readable for everyone, regardless of disability or device. Even if your company is not directly concerned, it is simply a matter of respect, inclusion and good practice.

A legal requirement

A legal requirement

The European Accessibility Act requires that your web pages and online publications follow modern accessibility standards (WCAG / EN 301 549).
This applies to companies with more than 9 employees or generating more than €2 million in revenue in the fields of electronic communications services, audiovisual media services, passenger transport services, banking services, and e-commerce.

In accordance with the law of February 11, 2005 (Article 47) concerning the RGAA standard and the European directive of June 28, 2025, the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

Standard Features

Text-to-Speech

Your publication can be read by any screen reader (NVDA, JAWS, Windows Narrator, TalkBack (Android), and VoiceOver (iPhone)), with proper structuring (headings, subheadings, paragraphs, etc.) and respecting the reading order within pages.

Accessibility Information Guide

A true user manual, this guide presents all the features of the Fluidbook and can be read aloud by any screen reader (NVDA, JAWS, Windows Narrator, TalkBack (Android), and VoiceOver (iPhone)).

Full Keyboard Navigation

Each Fluidbook feature has a keyboard shortcut that complies with standard guidelines. These are listed in the accessibility guide.

Image Descriptions

We add relevant alternative text that conveys the intent or function of meaningful images. This text is read aloud just like the rest of the content.

Logical Interaction Order

All interactive elements within the pages (links, emails, buttons, etc.) are accessible via keyboard and follow the reading order (logical tab order).

Tooltips on Hover

All interactive elements, such as buttons, include informative text that is read aloud by screen readers to indicate the corresponding actions.

Optional Features

Accessibility of Audio and Video Content

The Fluidbook video player includes several features that facilitate access to audiovisual content, including subtitles, chapters, and captions when available. A full text transcript can also be provided alongside the video. Additionally, YouTube-hosted videos can be embedded with their captions when available.

Text Recognition in Images

In some cases, your document may contain text embedded in images, making it invisible to screen readers. Our OCR technology extracts this text and converts it into a format usable by assistive technologies, in compliance with accessibility requirements.

Alternative Content for complex interactive elements

Some complex interactive content, such as games, may present technical constraints that make full accessibility difficult to achieve. In such cases, an accessible alternative or equivalent substitute content can be provided to ensure access to essential information or functionality.

Design and creation

Entrust the design of your document to our creative studio. Our experienced designers will produce it in compliance with accessibility standards.
